Five Ways PEKE Supports its Artists

The founding pillar to our success as a company is through supporting our artists and honoring their creations. To back up that claim, here is a list of the five main ways PEKE supports its artists.

# 1: Industry-Leading Commissions

At PEKE, we pride ourselves on having the lowest commission rate compared to similar competitors. At only 35% commission, we have raised the standard for what artists are able to receive from their work.

Saatchi Art, a local competitor in westside Los Angeles, recently changed their commission rate from 35% to 40%.

Singulart, a European competitor, has a commission rate of 45%, and can even reach upwards of 50%.

Artfinder takes a 40% commission.

UGallery takes a 50% commission.

Absolut Art takes 50% commission.

Tapan Collective does not disclose their commission rate.

Let’s not even get started with in-person galleries.

No matter where you look, PEKE continuously beats out the competition when it comes to fair pay for artists.

# 2: We market your art

So, why do we even take a commission?

Sure, it's a business, and maybe one day I can purchase a Ferrari with earned profits. Until then, however, our profits are reinvested into our marketing machine to increase quality traffic to our site and your personal brand.

How is this done?

  • Online campaigns and paid ads
  • Social media marketing
  • Investment in SEO growth
  • Affiliate programs
  • In-person sales and marketing
  • Live galleries and sponsored events

Furthermore, PEKE has specialized outlets for highlighting specific artists' work. Every week we add five hand-selected pieces to our signature collection “Artwork of the Week.”  Similarly, we premiere a new “Artist of the Week” on our homepage every week.

Posting your artwork on PEKE is free, and guarantees your brand is exposed to thousands of new patrons.

# 3: We grow your personal brand

Our mission as PEKE is to help you grow your personal brand.  We have implemented several features to help you expand:

  • No Exclusivity Clause: PEKE does not limit the amount of outlets you post your artwork to sell on. Whether you put the piece for sale in 10 locations, or just ours, your compensation remains the same.

  • Seller Profiles: Upon registering as an artist with PEKE, you will be able to create your own personal profile. This will include personal, professional, and creative information about your brand.

  • Connecting You Directly to Buyers: PEKE will facilitate communication between any buyer who is interested in commissioning a piece from you. Additionally, we are revolutionizing the online art industry by giving buyers and sellers the option to schedule video conferences. This feature skyrockets the likelihood of a sale by creating the intimate, gallery-esque presentation potential buyers are looking for.

Your success is our success.

# 4: Simple, easy to use platform

PEKE only requires an hour of your time and effort in order to reap the benefits of increasing your audience and monetizing your work. All we ask is for you to:

  1. Create your seller profile
  2. Upload your art
  3. Package your piece

Once you are established, our team will direct visitors to your page and listings. The buyers are paying you directly, which means you will have full knowledge of how much is being paid out to both parties.

You truly get to sit back and relax while we monetize your work.

Zero investment, high reward.

# 5: We cover shipping costs and labels

Artists are not responsible for paying for shipping. Once your piece is sold, we will email you the shipping label and all of the instructions.

You are only responsible for packaging the item correctly to ensure there is no damage to the piece when it arrives to the buyer.

Easy as that.
